Ivanhoe Extend
Ivanhoe Extend is Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Academic Extension program. It operates alongside the teaching and learning that occurs in classrooms.
The aim of the program is to provide opportunities for students to participate in rich, rigorous learning experiences outside of the classroom which develop Sternberg’s concept of transformational giftedness in our young people. The concept of transformational giftedness is used to describe human capabilities that can be developed and employed to create positive impact and change in our world. Examples of these capabilities are transformative passion, common sense, adaptive intelligence, recognising and creating opportunities, positive creativity and general wisdom.
All students, regardless of background or personal circumstances, require learning programs that meet their needs and allow them to achieve personal growth and excellence.
