Our philosophy

Ivanhoe Grammar School embraces the use of digital innovation and AI to increase the critical and creative skills of our both our staff and students. We are committed to processes and practices to ensure digital innovation and AI are used by everyone in our community in a safe, sustainable and ethical way.

Our focus is on character education in a digital and AI setting, where we work with students to build a solid understanding of their responsibilities, risks and opportunities. We model and support students to develop their civic, performance and moral character; and to have a solid understanding of what it means to be a good digital citizen.

We are dedicated to building competency in this area through formal and informal training, robust policy and procedures, special programs, pedagogical models and frameworks, and micro-credentialed courses.

Our Director of AI and Digital Learning Innovation, Rachelle Crameri, is responsible for implementing our Learning Innovation Strategy. We are committed to preparing our School and students for a future where AI will be ever-present; to navigate a successful way forward so our students are best equipped for what the tomorrow may bring.
