Please have the following documents ready before commencing your application:
- Birth Certificate
- Visa or Australian Citizenship documentation if your child holds an overseas Birth Certificate

- A separate application is required for each child.
- Each child may have one active application for one campus only.
- If you have already submitted an application and would like to discuss changing your preferred campus, year level, year of entry or other application details, please do not submit another application. Contact our Admissions Team at admissions@ivanhoe.com.au, and we will be happy to assist.
Step 2 – Join the waitlist
Read MoreDemand for places at Ivanhoe Grammar School is strong, and early applications are encouraged.
Once your completed application is submitted, your child will join our applicant list for the year level, year of entry and campus you have selected.
While we currently refer to this stage as our waitlist, this does not necessarily mean that your selected year level is at capacity. Availability varies across year levels, years of entry and campuses, and places may be available.
For non-entry year levels, vacancies generally arise as a result of changes to existing enrolments and can therefore vary throughout the year. We encourage families to apply early so your child can be considered should a place become available.
If you would like to understand current or anticipated availability before applying, please contact our Admissions Team at admissions@ivanhoe.com.au for a personal conversation about your child’s enrolment options at Ivanhoe Grammar School.
Step 3 – Commencement of the offering process

- Additional documentation in support of the application may be requested
- Year 7 interviews, while not standard procedure, may be requested by the School or by parents. At all other years of entry, an interview will be arranged as part of the application process
