Ivanhoe Swim Club
Ivanhoe Swim Club is a newly established swimming club based at the state-of-the-art 50m indoor facility at Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Ridgeway Campus. Ivanhoe Swim Club provides an inclusive performance, competitive and recreational swimming squad pathway, which is focused not only on medals but provides an environment where swimmers can set their own goals and are equipped with an environment to achieve them.
Pool
Ivanhoe Swim Club is based in the new 50m indoor facility at the Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Ridgeway Campus.
Gym
Some squads have access to a new gymnasium for dry land and strength and conditioning sessions.
Car parking
Our underground car park takes the hassle out of parking and protects you and your car from the weather. The entrance to the underground car park is via Russell St. It is conveniently located next to our Sports & Aquatic Centre.

Junior Squad
Read MoreThe Junior Squad is the first step in the competitive pathway for an Ivanhoe squad swimmer. Swimmers in this squad learn the fundamentals of competitive swimming and the daily training environment. The swimmers will develop sound technique through regular drill progressions that reinforce correct stroke mechanics.
Swimmers will be introduced to competitions in a relaxed, supportive and encouraging environment. Swimmers in this squad are actively encouraged to continue to participate in other sports and/or extra-curricula activities.
· Age: 7+- to 11+-
· Criteria: Metro qualifying time and meeting minimum training commitment
· Minimum Commitment: 2 Swim + dryland
· Session length: Minimum 90 minutes including dryland
· Target Competitions: JX Meet, All Juniors and prescribed Encouragement meets
· Price: $160 per month for 2 -3 sessions per week
District Squad

Swimmers in this squad learn and reinforce sound technique through regular drill progression whilst developing sound and sustainable habits at training and competitions. Swimmers are expected to demonstrate a regular to their swimming through planned training and competition attendance. Swimmers in this squad are actively encouraged to continue to participate in other sports and/or extra-curricula activities.
· Age: 11+- to 14+-
· Criteria: Metro qualifying time and meeting minimum training commitment
· Minimum Commitment: 3 Swim + dryland
· Target Competitions: Metro Age Short Course and Long Course Championships and All Junior Competition
· Price: $220 per month for 3-5 sessions per week
State Squad
Read MoreState squad is the first step in our swimmer’s journey to performance swimming. Swimmers are expected to demonstrate commitment to their training through regular training and competition attendance, high training standards and positive contributions to squad and team culture.
· Age: 12+- to 16+-
· Criteria: State Age Qualifying time and meeting minimum training commitment
· Minimum Commitment: 6 Swim + 1-2 Gym
· Target Competitions: State Age Short Course and Long Course Championships, National Championships (Qualifiers only)
· Price: $240 per month for 5-6 swim sessions + 1-2 gym
Youth Squad
Read MoreYouth squad targets older age group swimmers who are working towards achieving a state or national time or swimming is part of their cross-training for another sport i.e. triathlon, pentathlon, surf life-saving. Swimmers in this squad are given some flexibility to meet other sporting or extra-curricula commitments, however, as senior swimmers they are still expected to commit to high standards in and out of the water and be leaders within the squad environment.
· Age: 15+- to 18+-
· Criteria: State Age Qualifying time (excluding 50) and meeting minimum training commitment
· Minimum Commitment: 5 Swim + 2 Gym
· Target Competitions: State and National Age Championships and other meets as prescribed by their coaches.
· Price: $260 per month for 6-8 swim sessions + 2-3 gym
National Squad
Read MoreNational squad is the pinnacle of the Ivanhoe Performance Age swimming program. Swimmers are expected to commit to high standards in and out of the water giving the athletes in the squad the best opportunity to not only perform at the National Age Championships but also to develop as leaders within the Ivanhoe swimming community.
· Age: 13+- to 18+
· Criteria: National Age Qualifying time (excluding 50) and meeting minimum training commitment
· Minimum Commitment: 8 Swim + 3 Gym
· Target Competitions: National Age Championships, National Open Championships, Australian Trials
· Price: $280 per month for 8-9 swim sessions + 2-3 gym

Swimming Victoria Registration
Ivanhoe Swim Club is the associated swimming club for members of Ivanhoe Swim. Ivanhoe Swim Club provides an avenue for members of our squads and Learn to Swim program to compete in Junior, District, State and National competitions.
The Ivanhoe Swim Club SV membership includes the following:
- Compulsory SV & SAL membership fee: Mandatory for participation in any district, state or national competitions. Includes insurance for swimmer participation in meets and program events.
- Ivanhoe Swim Club Fee: Mandatory fee to support the functioning of the program and its members including affiliation and administrative costs, uniform, social event and trip subsidies and other expenses
The uniform Package includes:
- Swimming cap, shirt and hoodie.
All swimmers under the age of 18 must have a guardian as an associated ‘dry member.’
