Year 2’s visit the Food Technology Centre

During Changeover Week, the Year 2 classes walked up the hill to visit the Food Technology Centre to experience some cooking.

The students have been involved in a healthy eating unit where they have grown their own herbs (basil) which they brought with them to add to the top of the mini pizzas they made.

The students were accompanied by a group of volunteer parents who took charge of a group of four students and helped them to create their own mini pizzas.

Students were then able to eat and enjoy the pizza once cooked.

The students certainly looked the part, donning the fabulous aprons kindly donated by the Ladies’ Association and embroidered with ‘Mini Chefs’ – the students were very excited!
