Valedictory Dinner

On Friday 14 October The Ridgeway Campus Valedictory dinner was held. The service at Scots Church, attended by many grandparents and siblings opened with a welcome by the Deputy Principal, Head of The Ridgeway Campus, Mr Brendan Kelly, who focused on the meaning of our School motto and the relevance of the words and message for the students as they move to their next phase of their life. The evening also included an address from Mr Deon Naude who reminisced with the group about his memories of their time at the School along with some words of encouragement and advice for the future.

At Melbourne Town Hall, the evening began with wonderful student entertainment and then the presentation of each House group. In addition, each of the students chose their ‘special person’ to join them on the dance floor as a show of appreciation for their support over their school journey.

School Captains’ Noura Tawfic and Will Rothnie, reflected on their time at Ivanhoe Grammar School and proposed a toast to the School, while the Principal Mr Gerard Foley responded to the toast. Mr Foley made a moving speech and a light hearted Dab dance move, inviting a student on stage to do the dance alongside him. It was a wonderful night of celebration honouring the Class of 2016 and the School wishes them all the best for their upcoming exams and future.
