Two new IB subjects offered at the School

Year 11 students who choose to study the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program will have two new subjects on offer from 2016 which will provide students with new Humanities and Science alternatives.

(1) Business Management – available at Standard or High Level – complements Economics or provides an alternative to it.

(2) Sport, Exercise and Health Science – available at Standard Level only – provides an interesting alternative to the traditional sciences.

The inclusion of these two new subjects has been made to ensure the IB Diploma Program is accessible to as many students as possible and will give greater choice and flexibility for our students.

The IB Diploma Program operates in approximately 2500 schools around the world and provides a cohesive and comprehensive educational program for motivated students. Students who undertake the program are encouraged to think critically and creatively, improve communication skills – both written and oral, develop an awareness and appreciation of other cultures, cultivate an international perspective and understanding and establish a pattern of commitment to learning.
