The 64th Annual Cadet Dinner
On Wednesday 18 June, the 64th Annual Cadet Dinner was held in the Members’ Dining Room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The evening was a celebration of the graduating Year 12 Cadets, and presented the school with an opportunity to acknowledge the support of parents throughout their four year journey.
The evening was conducted in a formal format, with all cadets dressed in Ceremonial Mess Dress.
Many military guests were present from the Melbourne University Regiment, and the Headquarters of Victoria Cadet Brigade, organisations that have provided great support to the unit over many years.
Highlights of the evening included a wonderful performance by the Pipes and Drums of the 5th/6th Battalion, the Royal Victorian Regiment, and the Ceremonial march-in of the unit pikes by Senior Cadets.
The evening also provided the two Senior leaders, Matilda W and Stephanie C, with an opportunity to reflect upon their personal journeys in the Cadet Program.
A special thanks goes to the staff who have supported the cadets throughout, giving willingly of their time to ensure that they were able to be the very best versions of themselves.
