Success for Outstanding Piano Player

The Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music is the equivalent of the Australian Music Examinations board diploma – A Mus A. This is an outstanding achievement for a student who was only nine years old when he sat his first AMEB examination.

,,

Simon started playing piano when he was just four years of age when his mother bought him a piano and hasn’t looked back since. Over time he has become proficient in balancing his school work and his music and has taken part in many of the music opportunities at School such as the Piano and Soloist Concert, Gala and Orchestras.

,,

Since starting in Year 7 Simon has been involved in many facets of School life, representing the School in Soccer, Debating and Music and also playing percussion in the 2013 Plenty Campus Musical, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. He is a well-rounded student who received a Credit in the Australian language Certificate in French and a Credit in the ICAS Mathematics Competition in Year 8.

,,

Simon wants to keep on performing and even try another instrument but for now he has his feet firmly planted on the ground focusing on piano and his academic endeavours. Simon’s name will now be added to the School’s Music Honour Board.
