Student selected for Victorian Under 18 Baseball Team

Sixteen year-old Year 11 student Hamish Foreman has been selected to compete in the Victorian Under 18 Baseball Team, accomplishing a goal that he has been working towards since he started playing baseball in Year 5. The national youth championship tournament will take place in January in Blacktown, NSW.

Currently, Hamish plays on four baseball teams and trains four days per week. He also coaches an under 12 team. In January, he will compete in two tournaments before slowing down for Year 11.

Among his achievements, Hamish is now playing Division 1 baseball, which is the highest club level in Australia, and he has been invited back to play at the Ripken Tournament in the USA in July.

Congratulations, Hamish! Your hard work and dedication to the sport has certainly paid off.
