Remembrance Day 2019

On Monday 11 November, the Ivanhoe Grammar Cadet Unit supported commemoration ceremonies at the School, and in the local community. The day marked 101 years since the Armistice was signed to end the First World War.

At Buckley House, cadets mounted a Catafalque Guard, as part of a moving ceremony for the Junior School, where students and staff paid enormous respect to the sacrifices of past and present generations in conflict.

At the Plenty Campus, cadets performed a similar role for Laurimar Primary School in their Service for the local community and laid a wreath at the Remembrance Wall.

The dedication to serving their local communities was again on display by the cadets, staying true to their ethos of others before self. An authentic reflection of Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Learning Attributes.
