Primary Soiree

On Tuesday 31 June, 75 students performed at the Term 2 Primary Soiree. Students from across Prep to Year 6 took part in the Soiree as soloists, Senior and Junior Choir members as well as membersof the Primary Rock Band and Primary Chamber Strings. Each and every student took pride in their performance as they walked on and off the stage.

It was a full house in the Founders Centre and it appeared to be standing room only as the first act took to the stage. Event highlights included the Primary Chamber Strings performance of Vivaldi’s ‘Spring’ from ‘The Four Seasons’, Junior Choir’s performance of ‘Dr. Knickerbocker’ and the Senior Choir’s performance of ‘Fight Song’. The Primary Rock Band performed a great version of ‘Eye of the Tiger’ and each soloist was brilliant in their own way. A huge congratulations to all students who performed in the Soiree, many performing in more than one ensemble. It is fantastic to see so many dedicated students. Thanks to all the Primary classroom teachers, instrumental teachers and Music Department staff for their support leading up to the event as well as on the afternoon.
,, Ensembles and soloists are currently preparing for the Term 3 Soiree which will be held on Tuesday 13 September.
