Out of This World Art Show
On Monday, 17 November, the School celebrated a highly anticipated community event: the annual Art Show and Grandparents & Special Friends Day at Plenty Campus. The primary area was filled with excitement as students, staff, and visitors came together to enjoy a day dedicated to creativity, connection and celebration.
This year’s Art Show theme, Out of This World, inspired students to explore galaxies, planets, astronauts and all things cosmic. Many students embraced the theme by dressing in imaginative space-themed costumes, while others chose to enjoy the day in their regular school attire. The variety of outfits added colour, fun and personality to the event.
The day began with a student-led assembly, where students took on leadership roles to welcome visitors and introduce the activities ahead. Following the assembly, the much-loved costume parade gave students the chance to display their creative outfits proudly. Families and friends enjoyed seeing the effort and excitement students brought to the theme.
Throughout the day, classrooms and learning spaces were transformed into vibrant galleries featuring artworks from all year levels. Grandparents and special friends joined students in classroom hands-on activities, working alongside them and sharing in their learning experiences. Visitors also explored the artwork displays, with students proudly explaining their creations and the inspiration behind them.
The school was buzzing with conversation, celebration, and pride in students’ achievements. While the event was lively and busy, staff ensured that all students felt supported, offering quiet spaces and familiar routines whenever needed. A special thank you goes to our wonderful Art teacher, Nancy Ventrice, for her incredible work in preparing the students and organising the Art Show. Her dedication and creativity made the day a truly memorable experience for everyone.
The Art Show and Grandparents & Special Friends Day was a meaningful celebration of creativity, community, and belonging. Thank you to all families and visitors who helped make the day such a successful and joyful event.
