Monique Tops Girl Guides

Plenty Campus Year 12 student and Prefect, Monique Le Mottee, was recently awarded the Queen’s Girl Guide Award, the highest achievement in Girl Guides across the globe. The Award provides opportunities for personal development and is about challenging yourself to do your best at your level in your way. ,, ,,Monique has been involved in Guides for over 12 years and during this time has participated in state and national camps, volunteered at the Special Olympics, participated in ANZAC Day services and has had the opportunity to meet girls in guiding from across the world. It took three years and many hours of work for Monique to complete the award, which will be presented by the Governor at Government House in October. ,, ,,“Most of my work for the Award has been done through school, especially the Leadership component, including Cadets, Leaders Camps, House Captain and much more,” Monique said. In addition to her Queen’s Girl Guide Award, Monique has also been appointed the Regional RSM for the Victoria Brigade of the Australian Army Cadets. The role involves visiting Cadet Units throughout the state and liaising between the Units and Cadet Headquarters.,, ,,These two great achievements are recognition of all of Monique’s hard work and are very well-deserved. The School congratulates Monique on her Queen’s Girl Guide Award and appointment as Regional RSM.,,
