Lunar New Year 2026 Celebration

As part of their portfolio, the International Student Council and the International Mentor Program support cultural connection and student engagement across Ivanhoe Grammar School. Together, these initiatives create meaningful opportunities for students to connect, collaborate, and share their cultures, fostering understanding and lifelong friendships across the school. Both programs are proudly inclusive, welcoming students from across our entire school community.

Their recent Lunar New Year dumpling stall is just one example of their commitment to community building, with all proceeds donated to charities chosen by the students.

Insights from Our International and New Student Prefects: Kathy, Tiffany and Andy

“It was a privilege to collaborate with such a passionate team to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The energy and creativity everyone contributed made the event truly special. Celebrating the Chinese New Year together was a beautiful reminder of the importance of community and tradition. I’m so proud of what we accomplished as a team. The dumplings are absolutely delicious- a perfect blend of flavour and tradition.”
