Lincoln claims Buckley House Swimming Carnival trophy

On Tuesday 3 March just over 200 students in Years 3 to 6 from Buckley House competed in the House Swimming Carnival. Each student competed in a minimum of three events, making it a very inclusive carnival, with many swimming their first ever competitive race.

Many of the races were neck and neck for first place however it was Lincoln House who won the trophy on the day by a comfortable 63 points and Lincoln House student Alana broke the School U/9 Girls 25 metre Backstroke record.

The students wore their House colours with pride, with many painting their faces and bodies in colourful designs. It was fantastic to see each swimmer supporting their team mates and doing their best as well as plenty of cheering from parents seated in the grandstand.

The Year 6 Captains and Leaders did a great job leading the way for their Houses and it was a day filled with colour, energy and team spirit.
