It’s A Win For Boys’ Cricket
Boys’ cricket eventually get a game – and win!
After a washout in Round 1, and then a bye in Round 2, the cricket boys were very keen to get their season started on a high, and this they certainly did over the weekend.
After dismissing Marcellin for 171 (Ed Stokes 5/34 and Ben Joiner 3/14), we were reasonably placed at 4/83, thanks to a well-made 37 from Christian Ewings. However, an 84 run partnership between youngsters Will Rutley (45) and Tom Mileto (38no) sealed the victory. A great way to start the season.
Our tennis team also played their first round of matches and they too recorded a good win, 11-5. Well done.
Our Boys’ Table Tennis Team and Volleyball Teams were also successful.
In girls’ results, it was great to see the Girls’ Volleyball Team defeat a strong Haileybury outfit, and our softball girls also had a victory in a high scoring game.
