Interschool Dressage Competition

Congratulations to Year 10 student Jorjia Adams who competed at the Catholic Ladies College Interschool Dressage Competition at Hurstbridge on Friday 9 October. Jorjia and her horse ‘Carlyle Park Jetsetter’ placed 1st and 2nd in the two Medium tests which were the highest tests of the competition. Jorjia was awarded the Medium Championship which is an outstanding effort!

She is pictured with Jetsetter and the championship rosette and inscribed rug.

Other Ivanhoe Grammar School competitors at this event included Year 8 students Amy Cornell and Lily Dobson and Year 11 students Emma Kerr and Maddi Barnewall who all competed in the preliminary section which included 34 entrants from over 20 schools. Amy on her horse ‘Bailey’ placed 3rd overall in this section and Maddi on ‘High Time Little Boy’ placed 6th. A fantastic effort by all our competitors.

The Plenty Campus Equestrian Centre provides our students with full riding facilities. Students can either take lessons or compete on their own horses or on horses provided by the School. Ivanhoe Grammar School participates in interschool competitions throughout each year and enjoys a high level of success, with many of our riders going onto senior competition.
