IDSSA Volleyball Finals

In an electrifying display of athleticism and teamwork, primary students showcased their skills on the volleyball court during the IDSSA Volleyball Finals held on 8 September. With an exceptional blend of talent, coaching expertise, and determination, students from Buckley House emerged as the champions in both the Boys’ and Girls’ Volleyball Grand Finals.

The games were a spectacle to behold, filled with breathtaking rallies, spectacular spikes, and astonishing saves. Yet, what truly set the teams apart was the unwavering team spirit that permeated the competition. Whether on the court or on the sidelines, every player exemplified the true essence of the seven Ivanhoe Learner Attributes.

When it came to the Grand Finals, each player rose to the occasion. In a close showdown, both the boys’ and girls’ teams showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and unwavering determination, ultimately emerging as victorious champions. These achievements were made possible through the remarkable support and leadership of lead coach Ms Broben, Primary Physical Education Teacher/ Sports Coordinator, Mr McInerney and Team Mentor Mr Keuneman.

A special thank you to Year 10 students Grace and Rebecca for supporting our morning training sessions and demonstrating your amazing coaching and mentoring skills. The players’ positive attitudes and commendable behaviour stand as a testament to the values instilled in them by their dedicated teachers and mentors.

Regrettably, the girls’ soccer final and boys’ tennis final faced delays due to inclement weather. However, this delay has heightened their anticipation, and we eagerly await the opportunity to see these talented athletes in action once again during Term 4.
