Historic Success for Ivanhoe at the 2026 AGSV Athletics Carnival
Ivanhoe Grammar School has achieved one of its most successful results in recent athletics history, with an outstanding performance at the 2026 AGSV Athletics Carnival. With over 100 students representing Ivanhoe, it was a day to remember.
In a remarkable achievement, Ivanhoe finished as the highest overall scoring school across the carnival, securing the unofficial co-educational premiership for the second consecutive year. The success was reflected across both teams, with the Girls’ Team finishing an impressive third overall, improving on last year’s result, while the Boys’ Team claimed Ivanhoe’s first AGSV Boys’ Athletics Premiership since 2002.
The victory was particularly significant as Ivanhoe became the first co-educational school to win the Boys’ Premiership since 2008. While the results themselves were historic, the true highlight of the day was the collective effort displayed by every student who represented the School. From athletes competing for podium finishes and records to those contributing valuable points in every event, the determination, resilience and team spirit shown throughout the carnival were exceptional.
