Girls’ Volleyball Serve Up Another Win

In a very tight tussle, our girls had to fight off a determined Yarra Valley to remain undefeated after 3 completed rounds. After two sets, the game was locked 1 all and at 1-7 down in the 3rd, things weren’t looking great! However the girls found their composure, steadied and eventually won the 3rd set 25 – 21, and then the 4th set, 25 – 23. With only one more game to go before the Christmas break, the girls will be keen to keep their winning run on track and maintain top position on the ladder.

Our Girls’ Touch Team recorded their first win of the season in a comprehensive win over PEGS.

Our cricketers and tennis boys also continued their good work with wins against Yarra Valley. With skipper James Anderson (68) leading from the front and Christian Ewings (40) batting solidly at the top of the order, we managed a creditable 205 on a fairly slow outfield. And when we bowled, Nikhil Kumar (3/13) swung the game with a terrific 5 over spell.

In tennis, the game went literally down to the wire as we recorded a 9-7 victory.
