FUSE Cup

The incredible talents of 14 Year 5 students from Buckley House and Plenty Campus were showcased in the Melbourne Primary Division at the FUSE Cup held at Melbourne Girls Grammar. Our three teams took the stage and rocked the Just Dance 23 competition, competing against six other teams.

We couldn’t be prouder of these amazing kids, as they embodied the values of the Ivanhoe Learner Attributes: Balanced, Compassion, Collaboration, and Courage. Their actions and words exemplified these qualities not only within their teams but also when interacting with other competitors.

The day was a resounding success, with our teams achieving a ‘Superstar’ rating for at least one song and numerous ‘Megastars’ throughout the competition (for those who know, that means massive scores!). All our teams made it to the Semi-Finals, and one Buckley House team even reached the Grand Final playoff.

The Grand Final was a thrilling spectacle, with teams scoring almost identical points. In the end, our Buckley House team clinched a close 3rd place. Let’s give a huge round of applause to Ellie, who emerged as the Melbourne Primary Division Individual Champion! Her outstanding scores in the Semis and Grand Final were the highest, earning her an invitation to participate in the State and National Finals in October on the Gold Coast. What an incredible achievement!

All our students can be proud of their dedication, teamwork, and talent. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these exceptional young gamers.
