Friendship Corner

A beautiful new initiative was introduced this week at Buckley House.

‘Friendship Corner’ is a space for children to stop, reflect, talk and feel connected to others – when you need a friend, you will find one here. This year’s artist in residence, Elizabeth Armstrong, created a four-tree mural as bright as a beacon in the schoolyard so you can’t miss it.

Yesterday, a young student who recently lost his grandmother, decided to sit under his favourite tree and spend some time thinking about her. He was joined by friends and teachers in support. Friendship Corner is already making a difference.

A big thank you must go out to Helen Page-Wood, who led the initiative, and to the generous donors of our Annual Appeal for making it happen.
