Concert to celebrate International Women’s Day

Talented musicians and singers performed on stage to mark International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8 March. The concert was a great success with many students and staff bopping along to the beats. It was a wonderful way to celebrate such an important day.

International Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world to commemorate the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women. Since the first International Women’s Day held in the United Kingdom on 8 March 1914 there has been a significant improvement in the life of women across the world in terms of gender equity, education and increased visibility and recognition.

It was wonderful to see the breadth of female musical talent on display and a big thank you to all who helped create such a great concert.

Plenty Campus has a vibrant Performing Arts Program and students are encouraged to follow their passion whether it be in music, drama or dance. Click here to find out more
