Combined VCE/IB Results

Following the publication of the International Baccalaureate (IB) results, the School is now in a position to provide a consolidated picture of the academic outcomes and successes of the Class of 2015.

Students completing their Year 12 studies at Ivanhoe Grammar School last year have again performed to an exceptionally high standard, consistent with outcomes in recent years, and the School celebrates the achievement of all students, with many candidates achieving their personal best. This year 255 students completed VCE and IB.

Congratulations to the Dux of The Ridgeway Campus, Lucas Yong who achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95 and Dux of Plenty Campus, Maren Oghanna who achieved an ATAR of 98.7. Tara Tigani achieved the highest score in IB which equates to an ATAR of 98.85.

On a consolidated basis (IB, which is offered at The Ridgeway Campus, and VCE results combined), 22% of candidates scored an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5% of the State and 37% achieved an ATAR of 90 (top 10% of the State). In addition, 58% achieved an ATAR equivalent of 80 or above, consistent with the past three years.

There were 12 perfect study scores in VCE and IB subjects.

The obvious importance placed on the ATAR by students and their parents, given its significance in determining University course entrance, provides good reason to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2015.

It is important, to acknowledge that as an open-entry school, students of all abilities are a part of our diverse community and the School celebrates the achievements of all students. The School congratulates all students who have worked to their capacity and thanks the dedicated teaching staff who have supported them.
