Centenary History Book

Beautifully designed, richly illustrated and drawing deeply on oral history and archival research, Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Centenary history explores the School’s aims, achievements and challenges since 1915.

Its foundation in the local Anglican parish of St James created abiding ties to the community. Who were the students, where did they come from, and what were their experiences? Ivanhoe Grammar School’s response to some of Australia’s most defining historical moments will yield insights into the School’s character. Who were the key educators, and who were the people who helped to shape the culture of the School and what legacy did they leave?

These questions will be considered amid themes of service, citizenship and leadership – characteristics that are central to the identity of this unique, independent school.

The School is proud to announce the launch of its history book, A Passion To Servce: 100 Years of Ivanhoe Grammar School, which will be on Monday 9 February, 2015. The launch will include a VIP cocktail function for over 200 invited guests in Buckley Hall.

The book retails for $70 (inc GST) plus postage and handling. To own your piece of Ivanhoe history, order online at www.trybooking.com/GJPS or download the order form.
