Centenary Ball

The 2015 Centenary Ball was billed as the social event of the year, a wonderful celebration of past and present parents, alumni, staff and friends.

The Grand Hyatt Ballroom provided an opulent space to join together to mark the School’s 100 years with glimpses of the past, a celebration of the present and dreams of the future.

All who attended were dressed in their finest, setting the scene for the evening’s festivities. Guests were treated to a Centenary floorshow, performed by Ivanhoe alumni James Chappel (’03), Jack Brown (’06), Lana Murphy (’10) and Payel Chakraborty (’14) and the crowd danced the night away to the eclectic sounds of The Baker Boys Band.

The Chairman of the Board of Governors, Mr Peter Kempen, proposed a toast to the School and Mr Stephen Mayne (’87) was a fantastic MC for the evening.

The Centenary Raffle was jointly drawn by Principal Rod Fraser and the School’s next Principal, Gerard Foley. The winner of this year’s Raffle received one year’s tuition fee for 2016, congratulations to Mr and Mrs Andrew and Veronica Eaton and their son Michael, currently completing Year 9 at The Ridgeway Campus.

The evening concluded with an auction of an Etihad Airways package, generously donated by CEO James Hogan (‘75) – two return business class tickets to the UK, plus two hospitality tickets to either a Manchester City FC or Harlequins RFC game in the 2015/2016 season. A once in a lifetime opportunity!

The School would like to thank the Ball Committee, who worked tirelessly to ensure the evening was enjoyed by all.
