Buckley House Early Learning Centre Playground

This truly inspiring play space was designed by landscape architect, Evan Gaulke from Ochre Landscape. It has been wonderful to see children enjoying and exploring the new playground. Students have been engaging in a wide range of learning experiences and are developing their language, physical, cognitive and social skills.

Some of the features of the playground include a sand pit with a water pump which is very popular with the children as they cook, construct bridges and mountains, and create an amazing network of roads throughout. The two storey cubby house and fairy garden allow students to engage in pretend play, whilst the dinosaur eggs encourage the children to share their knowledge about these prehistoric reptiles.

The Early Learning Centre students enjoy playing in outdoor spaces, and this newly revamped playground caters to all their play needs and provides them with a fun and explorative experience.

The renovation of the ELC playground wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of the Ladies' Association and the Friends of Buckley House who contributed generous funds toward the completion of the project.
