Welcome 2015 Captains

On 9 February St James Church of England Grammar School for Boys opened its doors for the first time in 1915. In 2015 the School celebrated its Founding Day by welcoming over 40 past captains from 1939 to 2014 and introducing the 2015 captains.

Years 11 and 12 students from Plenty Campus and The Ridgeway Campus, parents and staff were in attendance and the Assembly formally welcomed the new Year 7s from The Ridgeway Campus to the School. This was an induction service to be remembered and a fantastic celebration of our alumni.

Following a selection process involving students and staff, Prefects were announced and inducted at the Centenary Founders Service. These Prefects then attended leadership training designed to equip them with all the skills they will need to serve as effective members of the student leadership team. Following this training, two students were selected from each Campus to serve as captains.

At The Ridgeway Campus the 2015 Captains are Ruby Marslen and Nickolas Johnson.

At Plenty Campus the 2015 Captains are Nevena Rikalo and Emmanuel Saka.

There is no doubt that all four Captains will represent the School well and carry out their responsibilities with pride and commitment. Ivanhoe Grammar School congratulates Ruby, Nickolas, Manny and Nev on their appointment and looks forward to the exciting year ahead.
