Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Middle Years students are set to take audiences on an epic adventure with The Lightning Thief: Theatre for Young Audiences Edition. Based on the best-selling novel by Rick Riordan, this action-packed musical follows Percy Jackson, a teenager who discovers he is a demigod, the half-blood son of Poseidon. Thrust into a world of myth and monsters, Percy must navigate newly discovered powers, uncover the truth behind Zeus’s stolen lightning bolt, and prevent a war among the gods.
Along the way, Percy faces formidable challenges: a journey to the Underworld and back, a mysterious prophecy warning of betrayal, and the emotional reality of a father he barely knows.
