Surprise Visitor to Plenty Campus

On Friday 29 August, Greek inspired Adelaide band ‘Akoustic Odyssey’ visited the Plenty Campus. Students from Prep to Year 6 were treated to a live concert which was the conclusion of a unit of work about Greek music based on resources from Musica Viva In Schools.

Musica Viva is Australia's oldest independent professional performing arts organisation and is committed to life-long engagement with music through concerts and education, for people of all cultures.

The Honourable Robert Mitchell, MP was invited to attend the event to support the work of Musica Viva In Schools. One of the highlights of the concert was when a group of Year 6 students played a soundscape they had composed based on the music of ‘Akoustic Odyssey’.
