Sibling Success in Equestrian

Year 11 student, Jess Grant and her brother, Year 8 student Clancy travelled to NSW over the holidays to compete as part of the Victorian Team for the National Interschool’s Championship.

Both riders went well with Clancy placing 3rd in his class. Jess was appointed captain of the Victorian Show Jumping Team and Jess won all three of her classes on her horse Roxy and was awarded the individual National Championship for Show Jumping. Her performances contributed to the Victorian Team also winning the Show Jumping Team Championship.

The School has a thriving and successful equestrian program with many students competing national and internationally. The Equestrian Centre at Plenty Campus provides students with full riding facilities. Students can either take lessons or compete on their own horses or on horses provided by the School.

Ivanhoe Grammar School participates in interschool competitions throughout each year and enjoys a high level of success, with many of our riders going onto senior competition.
