The Ridgeway Club Farewells the Colonel

After 42 years of service to Ivanhoe Grammar School, Lt Colonel David Waugh was farewelled by members of the Ridgeway Club.

Tributes were paid to David by the Principal Gerard Foley, Club President James Norman and, in relation to his service to Cadets and the Army Reserve, from Colonel Howard Ellis and Major Hans Vanzwol OAM.

In response, David thanked the Club for their hospitality and reminisced about the good work the Club had achieved over many years in response to projects given to them by the Headmaster/Principal of the day. These included the telephone hubs at both campuses, numerous refurbishment of facilities around the School and the old fire engine at the former country outdoor centre at Lima East.

Currently the Club is supporting projects across the School such as the Enterprise Coffee Centre at The Ridgeway Campus and updates to the Creative Arts Centre multimedia area at Plenty Campus.
