Lincoln House wins the Athletics Trophy
On Friday 15 April on a perfect autumn day The Ridgeway Campus held the annual House Athletics Carnival at Harold Stevens Track, Coburg. Students and staff showed their enthusiasm for the day by putting on a wonderful display of colour as they supported their Houses. Students showed great creativity in creating costumes in their House colours, and it was pleasing to see so many students competing with passion for their House.
The House program caters for students of all abilities and the emphasis is placed on participation and fun. It provides opportunities for students to enjoy success, build friendships across year levels, move outside their comfort zones and increase their sense of belonging to the school community. The House Captains and House Co-ordinators worked tirelessly in the lead up to the carnival to ensure that students were given every opportunity to participate in events of their choosing.
The contest this year saw some great performances from students in all four Houses, but it was Lincoln who came out on top and secured the House Athletics trophy. Congratulations to all students who participated and cheered on their teammates. Special congratulations to Lincoln on a wonderful performance that led to ultimate victory.
A whole campus event like this relies on the hard work of House Captains, coordinators and staff who all put a lot of time into making the carnival such an enjoyable experience for everyone.
