Ladies’ Association 80th Anniversary

On Sunday 24 August, the Ladies’ Association celebrated its 80th Anniversary with a magnificent High Tea in ArtsEdge at Locksley. Fifty guests celebrated the occasion, including past presidents of the Association, Norma Marsh, Margaret Long, Larna Ross-Henry, Mary Lillis and Vicki Pratico.

Acting Principal, Mr Gerard Foley, acknowledged the significant contribution made by the Ladies’ Association since its inception – from its humble beginnings of donations of library books, to its efforts supporting ‘Old Boys’ fighting overseas in the Second World War. The Association has funded numerous projects around The Ridgeway and Plenty Campuses and has been a major supporter of the School’s building program.

In total, the Association has raised close to one million dollars. In addition to their fundraising efforts, the Association has brought together several generations of Ivanhoe mothers at their regular Mother’s Day and Christmas lunches. The School has been honoured to have had the support of the Ladies’ Association and congratulates them on all that they have achieved and will continue to achieve in the years to come.
