Important Information about Coronavirus

In the interest of the health and wellbeing of the Ivanhoe Grammar School community, the decision has been made to close the School from the finish of the school day on Friday 20 March 2020; and for the week preceding the holidays to deliver our classroom learning online to students at home.

It is important to note that at the time of writing to you about this decision, there are no known confirmed cases of the Coronavirus within the Ivanhoe Grammar School student, parents and staff community. The closure of our School is a precautionary measure and a proactive approach to minimise the risk of the virus spreading into our community.

Commencing Monday 23 March until holidays begin (5 days duration), student learning will take place through an online learning platform.

We appreciate that this decision will impact the community in different ways, however, our first priority is to protect the health of all members of our School community.

In terms of when the School will reopen, we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates in as timely a manner as possible.

Current families may access further information, all in one place for their convenience by logging onto IvanhoeConnect.

We have created a central  section on Ivanhoe Connect called School Updates under the Communications navigation where you will find information about:

  • cancelled or postponed events
  • online learning information and frequently asked questions
  • latest school updates

Thank you again for your understanding and support at this challenging time.
