An Historical Event in Volleyball

For the first time in the School’s history, we entered two girls’ teams and two boys’ teams into the Victorian Volleyball Schools Cup Three Day Event, a competition that only the best schools in the state attend. It was an action packed weekend and all the students involved were up to the challenge.

The future of volleyball at Ivanhoe Grammar School is at an exciting stage, with the prospect of our teams potentially competing in the higher divisions in the years to come. This is a remarkable step forward and the students should be congratulated on their commitment and effort so far. The next challenge that the team will face is the prestigious Australian Schools' Cup, which runs from the Sunday 7 December to Friday 12 December. The team will also compete in the upcoming AGSV and APS/AGSV competition.

Results:

Year 7 Girls – Bronze medal in the Under 14 Division 2,

Year 9, 10, 11 & 12 Girls – Bronze medal in the Open Division 2,

Year 7 and 8 Boys – 4th in the Under 15 Division 1

Year 9 and 10 Boys – 5th in the Under 17 Division 1

Congratulations to all the participating students, staff and coaches for all their hard work and dedication the team.
