Future Problem Solvers Compete on the National Stage

Ivanhoe Grammar School students have achieved outstanding results at the Future Problem Solving National Finals. Students took their problem-solving skills to the national stage, with 19 students representing Ivanhoe Grammar School across four teams and one individual entry.

Year 9 students Frankie, Aarna, Adnan and Bell were crowned Middle School Division Champions in the Team Global Issues competition and also earned Silver in the Action Plan Presentation with the help of their sub Arjunaa. They have been invited to the USA for the World Finals in June 2027.

Year 10 student Andy placed third in the Senior Division of the Individual Global Issues competition, while also showing great leadership by helping coach our younger students.

Year 9 students Rohan, Charlie, Eva and Cameron finished sixth in the Middle School Team Global Issues competition with the help of their sub Lohith. They have been invited to the USA for World Finals in June 2027.

Our Primary teams also represented the School, marking an exciting milestone as our first-ever Primary teams to compete at Nationals. While they didn’t place, they had a fantastic weekend and gained valuable experience. Congratulations to Year 5 students Jacob, Finn, Henry and Vittal and Year 6 students Charlie, Leo, Siobhan and Ash.

Future Problem Solving provides students with a valuable opportunity to develop critical and creative thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills. By exploring complex, future-focused challenges, students are encouraged to think innovatively and develop solutions that have the potential to make a positive difference in the world.

Congratulations to all 19 students on an incredible weekend of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving.
