Cadet Bivouac

As most students and staff were heading home to begin their Christmas holiday break, 470 cadets, and almost 30 staff jumped onto buses to commence the Cadet Bivouac at Puckapunyal. This year saw the largest ever group attend the camp, which introduces Year 9 cadets to living in the bush as a cadet for the first time. The camp also provides cadet leaders with their first opportunity to put their skills into action in a practical environment.

The performance of all, both cadets and staff, reflected genuine enthusiasm and passion, culminating in a very successful experience for all. The bivouac has positioned the cadet unit for yet another exciting and rewarding year in 2020.

Well done to all involved, and a thank you to the entire school community; students, staff and parents, for supporting this outstanding group of young people as they continue to develop as young people of character.
