• Aerin (Alumna) – 2nd place, Level 7
• Macey (Year 12), Olivia  (Year 11) and Aerin  – 4th place, Level 7/8 Multiples

For all three athletes, the championships marked a significant milestone in their gymnastics journey, representing Victoria at the highest level of national competition and showcasing the results of years of hard work and commitment.

Year 11 student Olivia reflected on the experience and the impact it had on her both as an athlete and as a person.

‘I had an amazing time at the Aerobic Gymnastics National Championships in Sydney in July, as part of the Victorian State team. It was such an incredible opportunity to be surrounded by so many skilled athletes from across the country. The sportsmanship and support as a collective group was admirable. I felt overwhelming support from the Victorian State team while competing. This strengthened many team bonds, as well as allowing me to learn from the international athletes I was surrounded by. Competing at this high level has helped reinforce my love for the sport. I went into this experience with no expectations and was pleased with our end results and hard work. The coaches and the Victorian team made the experience an extremely positive one. This experience has helped me grow as an athlete and personally, and for that I am very grateful.’

Beyond the competition results, the championships provided valuable opportunities for our athletes to build lasting friendships, learn from elite performers and gain experience competing at a national level.
