2016 Victorian Schools’ Championships
On Saturday 27 August and Sunday 28 August, Ivanhoe Kayakers competed at in the 2016 Victorian All Schools Whitewater Championships. Congratulations to the 50 strong kayak team for their fine efforts over the weekend, winning the Overall Champion Whitewater School trophy again.
Led by Co-captains Tristan Carter and Cam McLoughlan and Vice-Captain James LeMottee. The School also won the Overall Boys’ Team Trophy but missed out on the Girl’s Trophy.
Individual Awards:
Congratulations to Tristan Carter (Senior Male Champion Paddler for the third year in a row).
The team will now start preparing for the Australian Championships to be held in NSW in January 2017.
The team would like to thank those involved for their continued support of the team and long hours spent on the water over the past year and special thanks to Peter Hogg, Pippa Lidgett for their support of the team.
