Annual Appeal
Your support shapes what comes next
Since its earliest days, our School has been shaped by the generosity of those who believed in its future. Thank you for being part of this tradition. Across generations, philanthropy at Ivanhoe Grammar School has quietly opened doors for students of ability and promise, shaping them into people of character, and enabling them to carry their education forward in meaningful ways.

Lily Burchell
Lily Burchell (’25), second recipient of the Norma Marsh Scholarship, established in 2019 to support students with exceptional ability in art and design, joined Ivanhoe Grammar in Year 10 where she was able to pursue her passion for design. Lily says, ‘This scholarship gave me access to great teachers, resources and a positive school environment,’ Lily is now studying Architecture at the University of Melbourne, building on the foundation created at Ivanhoe.
Professor John McKenzie AM FAA
Decades earlier, an Ivanhoe Grammar scholarship created a similar opportunity for Professor John McKenzie AM FAA (’66). Allowing him to participate broadly in academic and co-curricular life, John says ‘This scholarship enabled me to attend Ivanhoe Grammar, provided the foundation for my subsequent career and life, and nurtured a desire to contribute to the School so that others can have the same opportunity’. Today, John continues to serve our School as Life Governor and donor, and through his grandsons Ben (Year 10) and Andy (Year 7).
