Tom is driven to make a difference in the lives of young people. As the Deputy Principal and Head of  Ridgeway Campus, he is passionate about students having the opportunities and experiences to open their eyes to the possibilities of what they can do and be. Tom began his teaching career in Oxford in the United Kingdom, having previously worked in Sports Administration at The University of Melbourne and Athletics Victoria. On his return to Australia, he worked at Carey Grammar for 13 years in a number of roles, with his final five years as the Deputy Head of the Senior School: Student Wellbeing. Tom joined Ivanhoe in 2017 as the Head of Senior Years at Ridgeway Campus and has been in the role of Deputy Principal/Head of Ridgeway Campus since November 2018. In his role, he is committed to providing a school environment and culture that supports students to be highly engaged in their learning, discover their strengths and passions, develop their character and become active global citizens to make a difference in the lives of others.
