On Tuesday 14 November the annual Volunteers Thank you function was held at ArtsEdge at Locksley. It was a wonderful evening of celebration with thanks given to the hardworking volunteers who donate their time and energy to the School.
The evening was hosted by Principal, Gerard Foley for around 60 parent and alumni volunteers from across the School. He emphasised the important role that volunteers play in terms of supporting our students and that many of their activities would simply not happen without the contribution of our Ivanhoe Parent & Friends groups. Ivanhoe Parents and Friends brings together, under one umbrella, a large number of volunteer groups that play an invaluable role in enhancing the opportunities and activities available to all students across our campuses.
Whether it’s helping out in with the Equestrian Group or snowsports, spending many hours after school helping with school musicals and theatre productions, raising money for a charity, lending time and expertise to a student who needs a bit of extra help to get their idea up and running, or volunteering in the library, Ivanhoe’s backbone is the many parents, staff, alumni and current students who give so much of their time, energy and expertise to the School.
