The General Excellence Awards are available for entry, to the campus nominated by the applicant, in Years 7 or Year 10 in 2020. Applications are open to current students at Ivanhoe Grammar School and students from other schools. General Excellence Scholars receive 50 per cent tuition fee remission for Years 7 to 12.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate at interview and by written references that they can contribute positively to the academic and co-curricular life of the School. Ivanhoe Grammar School reserves the right not to offer an Award if the standard of those presenting does not warrant it doing so.
Recipients of Awards are expected to attain a generally high academic standard (NAPLAN results should be in Band 6 and above) and the student should be actively involved in the various co-curricular activities of the School. Periodic reviews of the Award will be conducted to verify satisfactory process and participation. In exceptional circumstances, the Award may be terminated by the Principal.
It is our expectation that recipients of the General Excellence Awards will complete their Secondary Education at Ivanhoe Grammar School. The School reserves the right to ask for reimbursement to the value of the Award if the student leaves the School prior to this time.
