Our vision for the School is to create a community of learning with an emphasis on academic rigour and exemplary teaching and an international focus that fosters language and cultural literacy. Our students feel valued, safe and confident with a supportive wellbeing system and a shared set of values.
With three campuses across two locations, Ivanhoe Grammar School provides leading educational opportunities for families in the north of Melbourne.
The Ivanhoe Campus provides a wonderful environment for students from Early Learning to Year 6 at Buckley House and Years 7 to 12 at The Ridgeway Campus. Plenty Campus in Doreen offers students from Prep to Year 12 a warm and welcoming environment.
At the Primary level, small class sizes ensure individual attention for every student and learning is enhanced with enrichment and support programs. We provide students with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy, teaching through encouragement and inspiring a love of learning.
In the Middle Years, our curriculum, transition and pastoral care program aims to engage students and ensure all students are supported in their learning. Our exciting Year 9 Program A World of Experiences, offers students meaningful learning opportunities while encouraging independence.
Our Senior Years program, characterised by academic rigour, helps students prepare for the challenges of VCE over three years rather than two. We offer the International Baccalaureate and VCE at the Ivanhoe Campus and VCE at the Plenty Campus. Our students regularly perform well above the state average, giving them access to University placements and courses of their choice.
