Friendship Festival

On Tuesday 15 November Plenty Primary held the inaugural Friendship Festival – a celebration of culture from the subcontinent region. Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Plenty Campus families who have immigrated from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal to Australia presented a colourful and fun display of dance, instrumental performance and music.
,, Students introduced items and enthusiastically performed along with their parents and relatives. Families also provided a wonderful range of delicious foods from their region, all sold to raise money for the School.

The festival organisers aimed to build understanding of their various cultures in a fun and engaging way with hopes to generate respect and tolerance in the wider community.

It would be fair to say that they achieved their goals and so much more with high levels or interaction and engagement from all members of the Primary community at the Plenty Campus.
,, A big thank you to everyone involved. We look forward to this holding event again in the future.
