Cadet Promotions Camp

Every year students participating in the Australian Army Cadets Program elect to take on a leadership position within the Cadet Unit as a Corporal, Sergeant, Warrant Officer or Cadet Under Officer. The training and assessment for these positions is undertaken in the weeks leading up to the annual Promotions Camp, which this year was held from Saturday July 16 to Tuesday 19 July at Puckapunyal.

Cadets from both campuses continued their leadership training over the four days of the camp which culminated in a graduation parade. The spectacular graduation parade included a flag party, buglers and drummers. The CUO/WO courses were presented with their badges of rank by Head of The Ridgeway Campus, Brendan Kelly, and the Senior Leadership teams from both campuses were announced.

The Australian Army Cadets is a personal development program for young Australians designed to benefit the nation by developing the individual, their community and the Australian Army. The program helps create responsible, mature and self-confident young people and future leaders.

Congratulations to all students who successfully passed their courses and we look forward to the new Cadet year, starting in the next few weeks.
