Primary Musical

27 Aug 2010 Primary students from Buckley House have been very busy over the last few months preparing for an amazing musical performance of The Big Bad Musical by Alex Strum. Students from Years 4 to 6 took part in this hilarious and entertaining show which has been warmly received by parents. Students from Prep to Year 3 took part in an entertaining concert Fairytale Mail which preceded the musical.

The Big Bad Musical is a courtroom comedy which tells the story of how the Big Bad Wolf gets sued by a group of classic storybook characters and has to defend himself through song and dance. Characters who are suing the Big Bad Wolf include The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

The defence lawyer for the Wolf is the Evil Stepmother and the prosecutor is the Fairy Godmother. In a fun twist the audience are able to decide at the end of the musical whether the Wolf is guilty or innocent.

The show features great song and dance numbers and truly showed the amount of work that the students put into their performance and the talent in Buckley House. As a special treat there was a matinee performance on Friday 20 August for visiting buddies from Olympic Village Primary School and Benetas Dowell Court where Buckley House students participate in service projects.

The students have truly set a standard for performance this year and hope to continue building on the great success of this year's musical in future productions.
