Leadership and Service

Participating in leadership activities helps students to build confidence, self-esteem and character, and grow to become responsible, successful young adults. Plenty Primary believes all students have the ability to lead, therefore all students are provided with opportunities to do so.

In Year 4 children show leadership through the buddy program. In Year 5, students take part in leadership programs and are given opportunities to develop leadership qualities, including the chance to become House Leaders in sport, music, public speaking, journalism, photography and service.

Plenty Primary is involved with numerous service projects. Students give assistance to Treasure Home, an orphanage, in Nadi, Fiji by collecting and distributing essential items for the children at the home.

The Young Round Square Team is involved with many fund raising initiatives. In the past they have raised much needed funds for earthquake stricken Haiti, or closer to home, for the Kinglake Middle Primary School which was devastated by fires.

By participating in these projects, children can develop a sense of being part of a bigger community. They understand the value of making a contribution and serving others.
